Imaginary Netflix case. An unshipped client redesign, reimagined for a portfolio. Not affiliated with Netflix.
A reason to come back.
A previous client needed better daily retention. An early streak feature shipped and hurt KPIs; the redesign never launched. This prototype brings that redesign into an imaginary Netflix experience, drawing on Brawl Stars’ Battle Pass and casino reward systems.

92The retention hypothesis: rewards help people start; visible continuity gives them a reason to return. This redesign has no measured retention result.
A small toast. An optional celebration.
The toast rises from the bottom without blocking browsing. Open it to see rewards; otherwise, keep going. The same compact pattern works across mobile and desktop, with no automatic modal to dismiss.

Original prototype screens. Coin amounts in the demo are illustrative; the proposed economy below keeps the reward fixed.
Let the streak grow. Keep the reward steady.
The client already had tokens: a low-cost reward within the existing economy. A fixed reward per milestone avoids an ever-growing payout and keeps restarting worthwhile. Actual cost still depends on issuance and redemption rules.

One missed day shouldn’t erase everything.
A Freeze protects one missed day. It gives the habit room for real life. Token purchases or milestone bonuses could supply Freezes — a proposed extension; acquisition is not designed in this prototype.

Make progress feel like something.
A rising toast, a living flame, a short burst of confetti: motion turns a status update into a small celebration. Anticipation before a claim, satisfaction after it. The interaction should make the reward feel earned.
